The True Meaning of Vibe Coding!

Recently, the remote control for the TV in my living room went missing, and I couldn’t find it for a moment, turning the living room TV into a decorative item. After searching for five minutes and decisively giving up, I suddenly had a lightbulb moment—there must be an app for the TV remote!! Sure enough, there was, so I chose a well-rated option to download and try out, and the functionality was good.... but!!!

</span> , which was infuriating!! Frustrated, I quickly called on Claude code and told him the features I needed, and he helped me create it!!! As shown in the image:

I only provided the TV model, and for the UI, I said: you figure out what functions that model's remote should have, then in Japan. I specifically mentioned Japan because their TVs have yellow, green, red, and blue buttons for user interaction with TV programs, like this one:

I digress; anyway, this is how the UI design is. On the functionality side, it didn’t come together perfectly in one go. I spent about an hour helping him debug, looking at logs, guiding him, and finally completed this brainless APP!! The important part is that all the UI icons were built-in, and the layout was designed by him independently.

Applying vibe coding to solve some life problems, this is the true meaning of vibe coding!

Looking back at the well-rated TV remote apps in the app store, they didn’t seem that great after all. At one point, I thought about whether to publish my app, but later I decided against it because I was busy with my other work and didn’t want to deal with it.
I actually have quite a few little programs I've written, so I’ll share when I find the time next. XDDD
